New York City is finally waking up.
The flowers are blooming, the birds are chirping, and families are finally able to get out of the house and explore the city’s many outdoor activities.
New York is always vibrant, but its heart seems to beat most strongly in the spring. Your little ones will get to have long, fun-filled afternoons while soaking up the sun. Whether it be a simple picnic in the park or something a bit more involved, the opportunities are endless.
Here are a few of our favorites and be sure to let us know yours!
The TriBeCa Family Festival (April 25, 2015)
“Step onto the Tribeca Studios Backlot and into a filmmaking experience, watch a live chef demonstration from a local restaurant on our Tribeca Food Feast Stage, fly a kite, play video games in the Games for Change Public Arcade, create life-size bubbles in the Bubble Garden, get creative in our Arts & Crafts pavilions, dance to live music and put a smile on your face. It’s time to take to the streets of the neighborhood, so join us for a special day of fun!”
Queens County Farm Museum’s Children’s Carnival (April 18 & 19 from 11:00am to 6:00pm)
“Join us for a kids’ carnival in the apple orchard! Enjoy the spring weather at the farm with carnival rides*, midway games and prizes, hayrides, and children’s entertainment.”
The New York Botanical Garden for Cherry Blossoms & more!
Cherry Blossoms are one of the most beautiful parts of the springtime, and what better place to see them than the NYBG? While you’re there, you can also check out all of the garden’s beautiful attractions and take solace in the fact that winter is finally behind us. It’s never too early for your little ones to develop a green thumb!
Enjoy the season!
